Hi Dr Mike
My husband and I feel so alone in God's kingdom. We about a year ago wondered if God felt about us the same way our church did. Did God consider us second class citizens in His kingdom, because we were both abandoned/divorced by our former spouses. We have been married for 27 years -- believing that we were God's gift to each other.

God led us to David Instone-Brewer's website. We were so excited and wanted to share this great new truth with our church. So we wrote a paper and submitted it. That was six months ago. They almost refuse to read it. We gave them David Instone-Brewer's books to read. That was a month ago.

Last Friday they sent us the famous John Piper's article Tragically Widening the grounds for Legitimate Divorce and said that was our church's position.

No one will talk to us about our findings. We feel so lonely and misjudged. Even our friends look at us with blank stares. Is there anyone who could be our friend perhaps through email? We live in Fort Worth, Texas.

We considered leaving and finding another church, but we think God said don't run away. Do you have any suggestions?
