Mike, I followed the link from Transforming Sermons. I'll have to thank Milton for that.

First, let me say I'm sorry about your mother. Having lost mine (18 years ago), I know how difficult it is.

Secondly, thank you for such a thought-provoking article. I found myself assessing my own writing as I went through your list, wondering if I've slipped into any of those tendencies. I appreciate the time and thought that went into that post. You're an insightful writer. I'll be back.

And on the note about not missing blogging while on break, but coming back because you felt a calling, I can relate to that, too. I took a small hiatus in late summer and enjoyed it thoroughly. But after a bit, I felt a nudge to get back out there. It really is a lot like fishing; you never know what hungry fish God will direct to your particular stream on any given day. Something about that keeps me writing.

God bless.

Mike over at Eternal Perspectives has written some true and very sharp observations in his post, Blogging: on the outside looking in. He spent 5 months away from posting on his blog after the recent death of his mother, but continued to spend time observing and commenting on other "God-bloggers".

Jordan's post is here. - Mike
