Sorry but this is too heavy and getting too personal for me. <em>I think I missed something. I wasn't trying to be either heavy or personal in my response; in fact, I was trying to be conciliatory. Obviously I failed and you are upset. It was not my intent to offend: as I said, I recognize that it may have been a cultural difference. Up here in the States, when someone says, "Well, yes, I do realise that," it's almost always sarcastic, especially if the conversation has been going on for awhile and differences of opinion are being expressed. But even my "If it is sarcasm . . ." comment was meant to be a concession. I detect (in your comments and on your blog) a level of maturity that is above average and it would not at all have surprised or offended me if my post was "below" you. That's why I said I'd rather state the obvious. This is meant to be an olive branch. This is a misunderstanding. I hope this can be put aside and that you'll continue to frequent my blog, as I do yours. (I noticed the other day, BTW, that when I switched to my new site your blog link didn't make the trip.
